Airlab Wire - MPPE Insulation
This wire is stiff, with thin but very tough insulation. It has some spring to it, but is very pliable and will keep its shape when bent. This quality, coupled with the thin insulation make it perfect for routing through tight, awkward spaces. The tough insulation has high abrasion resistance, making this wire a good choice in applications where it is likely to get rubbed or pinched.
Supplied in lengths of 1 foot (12 inches/30.48cm). Multiple quantities will be supplied in 1 continuous length so you can cut it to suit your needs.
Available in black and red in 18AWG, 16 AWG and 14 AWG or white and red in 24 AWG (American Wire Gauge, the international standard for describing electrically conductive wire diameters, with lower numbers referring to thicker wire).
It uses flexible Noryl (a modified polyphenylene ether thermoplastic) insulation as an environmentally friendly, tougher, lighter and more flame resistant alternative to PVC. Because of the improved toughness, the insulation can be much thinner than it is on PVC and silicon insulated wire. The insulation is non-halogenated and contains no heavy metal pigments, allowing it to help manufacturers to meet the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requirements.
